I made several of these background images with different color maps, but only 2 or 3 of those really seemed to “pop.” And those were the ones that had white highlights, for some reason that added depth to the shapes. I thought I would try this blue and white one to use in creating an “undersea” kind of manipulation.
The fishes are not brushes, I haven’t found quite the right package yet. I use older versions of Paint Shop Pro, and it isn’t easy to find brushes for them today. These are “picture tubes,” something else you don’t see much of these days, although in years past they were plentiful online. I had a choice of various color schemes, but just decided to try this one to add the little creatures, since it did look ‘aquatic.’ Good choice, it seems! Maybe I should have added bubbles, but I wasn’t sure about that, it might have seemed ‘overdone.’
