2D and 3D imagery by a fractal fanatic

Organic Talis design

Yet another new adventure in Fractal Explorer…talis ducks and trees!! I am excited! I’ve tried for ages to achieve that branching effect on my own but couldn’t quite get there… Hal Tenny passed along a few of his own spotfiles and Voila’, I’m seeing trees and ducktails all over the place. This is a minimal image but only the first in what I expect will be a great many, all generated from just a very few parameter combinations.

Anyone who thinks 2D fractal art is old-fashioned and not very interesting doesn’t know what they’re talking about. No it isn’t 3D (to which I bow in humble reverence) but it is a whole different kind of art, “a form of algorithmic art created by calculating fractal objects and representing the calculation results as still images, animations, and media,” according to Wikipedia. 2D LIVES… 😆
