2D and 3D imagery by a fractal fanatic

Sterling Whimsy

Made in Sterling Ware 2, it might have been easier to make something like this in Fractal Explorer’s sterlingware side (except in FE you don’t have Lyapunov, which gives very interesting results). This was a tough one, on my old desktop I can’t anti-alias in SW at all, so after the render was finished I had to do a lot of postprocessing to clean it up. I don’t like the color choices in SW either, but it is kind of fun to play with other coloring filters elsewhere to get a good color scheme going. Finally I added a little blur around the outer edges to get rid of some jagged edges. Overall, not bad really!
