(2 images.) This top image looks so deceptively simple, but it took 24 hours total to render it…and that’s in 2D, mind you! I think the long render time was caused by the little curlies and spirals and things…


The second image is a tight zoom-in on the above picture… Sometimes Fractal Explorer balks when you try to zoom in too close, but occasionally it surprises me and behaves itself, beyond expectations… Depends on the formula I suppose, as in other programs 🙂
